The alarm clock screeched its song at 6 o'clock in the morning. The dark-haired man angrily opened his eyes and sat up to squint at his screaming clock. With a sigh he reached over and clicked in the power button. He rolled to look at his sleeping wife next to him; she seemed to be unphased the sudden alarm.
He let out a sigh and stroked her ebony hair as he carefully crept out of bed. The man tip-toed his way to the master bathroom with a pair of jeans and a white tee-shirt under his arm. After a quick shower and other grooming rituals he emerged back into his bedroom and quickly took notice of the now empty bed. Plucking his glasses off the nightstand, the put them on his face and sauntered into the kitchen.
His wife was getting a pair of sleepy toddlers fastened into high chairs and presenting them with sliced bananas and blueberries for breakfast. The two children squealed in delight and started shoving the fruit on their face and attempting to feed themselves.
The man smiled at the scene as he snuck up on his wife and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Need help?" the man lovingly smooched his wife on the cheek and rested his head on her shoulder, having to crouch because of the height difference.
His wife chuckled and snuggled into him. "No, not really. I'm pretty good an this mom thing." His wife made her way over to the fridge and grabbed a blue lunchbox and handed it over to her husband. "You be safe out there, Josh."
Josh chuckled as he accepted the lunchbox and crouched down to smooch his wife's nose. "I always am, Scar." The man looked at his two children and waved to them. "Luke, Leia. Be good for your mother. Your the galaxy's last hope."
The two toddlers laughed and "waved" to their father as he exited the kitchen through the garage door, snatching a briefcase off the end-table that was nearby.

He retrieved his keys from the case and unlocked the door of his deep-purple 2014 Chevy Camaro. He stepped inside and and closed the door behind him, tossing his briefcase in his passenger seat. He sat there momentarily, eyeing his briefcase. With his right hand, he unlatched it and flipped it open and grabbed the item haunting his thoughts.
It was a leather journal--expertly made with deep brown leather with a semi-familiar moon-like sigil on it. He thumbed through the pages again, like he'd done for the hundredth time. Each page was filled with sketches and side-notes of fantastical beasts and exotic races. The drawings seemed familiar to him as he thumbed over a chalk drawing of a faerie and read the note to the side of the drawing.

Very timid by nature, the fae are most active at night and take the form of butterflies, moths and other lepidopterans.

"Whoever wrote this must have either been a madman or someone way to into their D&D campaign." Josh tossed the journal back into his briefcase and started his car. The rumble of the loud engine echoed loudly in the garage as he pressed garage opener on his visor and backed out into the street. Clicking the button again to close the door, Josh took off down the street and made his way to the work.
The drive to the police station was mediocre at best, although Josh did enjoy jamming out and singing along with his "Dad music". His pitch was awful but his heart was in the right place. He parked in his usual spot and turned off his car, jamming the keys into his jacket pocket. He opened the door and has he turned and placed one foot out of the car to step out he was met with the muzzle of a pistol just inches in front of his face. Any normal man would have lost it as Josh slowly raised his hands to comply with this would-be carjacker but he couldn't help but smirk at the fact that this would-be assailant just messed with the wrong detective.

[22 MINUTES, 17 SECONDS EARLIER] ------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Next! Step up to the white line!" A very bored, very old jail attendant sighed through her mandatory phrase of the day. She sat in the corner of a white painted room, floor and walls made of concrete. It was a typical set up of camera and computer at one end, height chart painted on the wall at the other end of the room. It's how jails and prisons start your modeling career with a mugshot. Just don't smile, that's all it takes to annoy miss jail attendant.

The next in line was a young man, already breaking the rule with a small smirk, like he knew something they didn't. His eyes were hazel-green, and his hair was supposed to be short and brown according to his recently entered record. Two police officers pushed him up to the wall so they could measure his height. Five foot, nine inches. Average. What wasn't average were his clothes, a beat up pair of jeans and a long plain leather jacket half covering a novelty black T-shirt with a T-Rex wielding a claw grabber, the bold red text underneath read 'Unstoppable'. Black hiking shoes and a pair of handcuffs on his wrists rounded out the outfit, and the elder jail attendant knew she was in for an eye roll or two.

"Please state your name for the record." She sighed, getting ready to take the picture once she had all his information.

"James Carter." The young man replied, looking bored as he scanned around the room.

"And your charges?"

"Magic tricks, apparently." James broke into a grin, the handcuffs falling to the ground.

The two startled officers on either side of him flinched at the sound, one of them seeing James' free wrists and starting to yell. Before either officers could get anything done, James snapped both sets of fingers, releasing a flash of blue light that made short work of the room. Both officers were pinned against the wall beside him, the door to the cozy processing room slammed shut, and the camera spun around to face the wall. The policemen opened their mouths to yell, but the blue tendrils of light that held them, and the door, clamped over their mouths.

The elderly attendant who worked the computer let out a yelp of surprise, her rolly-chair flinching backwards by an astonishing half-inch. James' gaze settled on hers as she started the delicate process of standing up.  "Whoa, where are you going in such a- ... well I was gonna say hurry..."

The lady growled at James as she clung to her armrests and managed to pull herself up. "What is- "

Another flash of light came from James' hands, and blue spirals of light clamped back down on the lady's wrists, pulling her back into her seat. "Please don't. I'll let you keep your mouth uncovered if you promise not to speak... same goes for all of you!"

James glanced back at the terrified officers, flashing a smile. With another flick of his wrist the lights covering their mouths faded away, freeing their voices. Instantly, one of the officers broke into a frantic screaming at which James flinched and snapped his fingers again, returning his gag. "Okay then..."

James glanced back at the elderly woman in the chair, who simply glared back in his direction. "Well, everyone looks calm now, so we can start! I'm here because one of you has been very, very bad."
His usual cheery demeanor grew dim, his brows furrowing with distaste as he scanned all three of them, eventually settling on the panicking officer who still had his mouth covered. The man's eyes were wild, darting around the room at all the magic and trying to make sense of it all. James narrowed his eyes at the man and stepped over to the next officer.

"You haven't started screaming yet, doesn't all this look funny to you? I'd be freaking out!" James chuckled, patting the man's shoulder.

"I-I-I-"

"Well don't go into shock, I'm only here for one of you... Someone in this room... is a murderer. Now, I checked your thoughts- and most of the cops' thoughts outside and I know I distinctly picked up on a few key facts that tell me the killer of Emily Greenwood is right here in this room." James spoke softly, watching the reactions of each of the officers and the lady when he heard her creak in her chair uncomfortably. The man with the magic over his lips looked confused, and still terrified. The lady looked furious and perplexed. But the man who could speak said nothing, his eyes showed challenge, to which James focused on.

"You. You and I are gonna talk, because mister, you've crossed a line..." James started before the man finally spoke up.

"I didn't kill anyone! Freak!" He spat, wriggling a futile attempt at escaping his magic bonds.

"Oh, you're guilty. Maybe not of murder, but..." James stepped away from his and back to the muzzled cop. "You there. You've got a wife. Beautiful, tall, and gorgeous new daughter! You live in a brick house, pretty uncommon in this side of Chicago, and the man over to my right who thinks I'm a freak is your partner? Oh! And your best friend! Wow. Man- you-"

He broke off to shut his eyes and think for half a second, opening them back a moment later with a sudden look of glee.
"And Skittles in your coat pocket!"
As James moved to relieve the man of his sweets, the un-gaged officer piped up again.

"Oh, so you're reading his mind now?! Or you're a stalker! Take your freaking light glow-y sh-"

James didn't look at the man as he covered his mouth with more magic. "Actually I was reading your mind, Officer Henway. And for being a best friend you sure know a whole lot about Richard's wife. Wanna see another magic trick? How about I show poor terrified Richard your hotel receipt from February, where you took his wife while he was looking after your house!"

Richard's eyes shot even wider, and the panicking stopped as he looked over at Mr. Henway with a slow-building anger.

"Well, look, I'm not here to set up a divorce, and I'm not here to kill someone for cheating... I'm here for the werewolf who killed a seven year old girl." James froze in place after speaking, watching both officers reactions carefully.
"Now you were changed when you did it, so it would be hard to read your thoughts, and you no doubt would be actively blocking it out- you did kill a little girl. But I can't pick up on anything that would suggest you guys are hiding a secret that big. But one of you slipped up. When I mentioned Emily's name earlier, one of you in this room felt regret for half a second, but I couldn't narrow down who. So I would normally have to go through each of your minds one by one until I figured it out, but Officer Henway here has already helped me out with that. His first thought when I used magic was to begin frantically thinking of his best friend's wife. So he either has something to hide, or he's just a scumbag. I love taking down a scumbag, but I came here to catch a werewolf."

James stepped over to Henway, meeting his enraged eyes as he continued. "... Good disguise. You picked a man with only one friend, hardly a social life, isolated most days. The cane in your car is probably fake, same with your limp. You tried to make yourself look frail and useless so that nobody would guess it's you... but there's nobody else in this room who fits the persona of a distant, frail old- ............."

James stopped in mid sentence, closing his eyes with a look like he wanted to shoot himself. He opened them to the sound of snarls, and both cops staring past his shoulder with a look of utter terror. There was a metallic twang as the sounds of his magic restraints snapped around the chair behind him.

".... Right ... " James turned around slowly to the old lady in the chair, who was no longer a lady at all. The snarling, seven foot, wolf-woman spit as she roared, her twisted yellow eyes fixated on the three men in front of her. With a massive sing of her arms she knocked a yelping James aside and charged the room, tearing through the door anbd into the hallway.

Winded, James bolted up in horror. "Sorry!" He waved the magic away and freed the gentlemen, snagging one of their guns as he bolted out of the destroyed doorway. The whole place was in a panic. Floor tiles broken, walls scratched, the werewolf was ripping the place to shreds on her way out. James bolted down the halls, following the destruction to the main atrium, finding an officer split in two at the foot of the stairs. He just barely caught a glimpse of the old-lady-wolf busting out the front door and onto the streets. She was going to run.

Pushing past officers, James made his way to the parking garage doors and shouldered his way through. He scanned all the cars to see if any were running, and loaded his pistol as he headed for the nearest parked car, a purple Camaro. He sprinted to the door just as the driver was opening it, and held the gun out.

"I need to borrow this!"

[32 MINUTES, 03 SECONDS EARLIER]------------------------------------------------------------

I have literally been sitting here for an hour, can I just go now?

Sitting on the bench outside an some officer's office, a girl in her early teenage years had her arms crossed and her legs stretched out in front of her, waiting to trip anyone who would walk by. Her bleach blonde hair, black at the roots, was pulled over one shoulder, and her short spiked bangs swept across both rowan colored eyes. She wore a brown unzipped hoodie over a simple white tank-top, and a plaid skirt that reached to her mid-thighs with black leggings underneath. Her choice of footwear for the day were a pair of brown hiking boots that looked to be only slightly used. As the girl glared to the side with a cheek puffed out, and both fingerless-gloved hands shoved into her hoodie pockets, she looked like the stereotypical troublesome teen that belonged inside the police department.

Getting bored of glaring at nothing, the girl let her eyes wander. Despite the fact that it was morning, the atmosphere was somewhat lively with cops and detectives bustling around doing their jobs. Though she noticed that most of them seemed to be moving a bit slower than usual. It was morning, after all.
After some time, she noticed that an officer was escorting an older boy in cuffs directly her way. Seeing as the boy would probably trip over her legs in the next moment or to, she pulled them back out of his way. She knew from experience that the officer wouldn't navigate the criminal around her.
As the duo were passing by her, the girl noticed something absolutely glorious. The boy was wearing a black T-shirt with a T-Rex wielding a claw grabber, the bold red text underneath reading 'Unstoppable'.
Awesome, was the word that came to her mind, a giddy smirk coming to her face. In fact she stood up and subconsciously walked a step after them.

"Hey, I love your shirt!" she called after the boy.

"Sit back down," a lone officer growled as he passed by her.

"Geez, did ya eat a salted doughnut or something?" she shot back with a frown. But as she was told, she plopped back down on the bench with a pout.

The girl didn't know how much longer she waited. She was busy pretending to doze off when a shadow finally rested over her. When she opened her eyes, and average sized woman with earthen-brown hair pulled back in a ponytail was standing over her. The suit she wore was sharp, as what would be expected of her. She had one fist placed on her hip, and a brown lunch bag clutched in the other. With her chin raised up slightly, her dark eyes glinted down at the teen like clean-cut stone.

"Detective," the young girl greeted with her head still resting against the wall.

"Delila," the lady detective responded.

After a moment of silence between the two, they broke. Both of their lips crinkling upwards, the woman and the girl began to snicker.

"Come here," the woman snickered with outstretched arms.

All too happily, the girl hopped to her feet and gave the detective a big hug.

"There's my sweet little Dia!" the detective cooed as she kissed the top of the girl's head.

"Mom, you're embarrassing me in front of the criminals!" Dia laughed her complaint.

Mother and daughter embraced for a bit longer before pulling apart and looking into each other's eyes. The detective's smile faded before she let out a long sigh.

"I'm so sorry sweetie. I didn't think I would be leaving you here for so long," she apologized.

"No, it's fine! I understand. Work and all," Dia replied with a shrug, "I mean, as fun as another tour of the department sounded, I had a good time sitting! ...And stuff..."

With a pained smile, her mother brushed her bangs out of her eyes.

"I really am sorry. You woke up early for once by some miracle, and I was hoping I could spend this time showing you more about what I do here..."

"It's fine! Don't worry about it, really!"

Dia's mother hugged her again before handing over the lunch sack. "The usual. Ham sandwich, chips, an apple, oreos and a butterfinger. Wait until lunch to eat it, stink."

Dia was visibly getting excited with every edible her mom listed. Then she deflated at the order. "Fiiiine," she grumbled.

The mother smirked and then nudged her daughter towards the exit. "You should get going now. School starts in less than an hour."

"Alright, bye mom!" After the exclamation, Dia hugged her mother tightly around the waist. Then she quickly pulled away and trotted for the doors. "I'll see you after school!"

"Don't forget to take your medicine!" her mother called back with a wave. The detective put her hand down when her daughter left the building, but continued to stand there with a smile until the young girl had hopped down the outside steps and out of sight. It was then that the detective heard a commotion coming from upstairs. She whipped around just in time to see a large monster fly down the staircase and land on the screaming officer just a few feet away.

"Wha-? Where's the butterfinger?!" Dia cried at the street in front of the police department. She rifled frantically through the lunchbag before finding the candybar a second later. It was under the sandwich. "Thank goodness," the young teen sighed. She started to grab it, and then remembered her mother's order to wait until lunchtime. "Why..." she whimpered as she closed the brown sack in pain. After letting out a dramatic sigh, she straightened up and looked to the sky in determination. "It's okay, Delila Topaz. Lunch is only a few hours away. You've got this. You can survive until then!"

"Or can you?" the universe seemed to reply. Because literally the moment Dia finished her declaration, a giant wolf monster burst through the police department's doors directly behind her, give or take several feet of distance. The bleach blonde girl spun around at the crash, her mind going blank as her wide-eyed stare met the werewolf's savage eyes.

Oh crap.

A wavy-haired brunette man with a partially ginger tinted beard walked up to his desk near the detective offices with a frown. His grey-blue eyes glanced through the file he held open in front of him, concern showing on his face before tossing the file onto his desk without another glance at the paper.
"You've got to be kidding me. They added another file to the homicide department, and they won't even account for the other homicides because they haven't proof of if they were committed by an animal or human..." the thirty year-old detective pulled back his dust coat that went to mid-thigh to reveal a semi-formal gray vest and a solid blue collared button-up shirt with sleeves rolled up to his elbows.
"Right. There is always something more to these cases." He turned back towards the hall that led to the lock-up where they kept their prospective criminals who needed to go to jail or prison and glanced down it to notice that Dia's mother is giving her daughter another lunch like she usually did when Dia came to her work. "Huh?" Jacob turned towards where the sounds were coming from in the room where they processed the criminals through a partial physical evaluation and name check. It wasn't much longer than just a few mere moments that a familiar form slammed the door open and forced itself down the hallway.

At that moment, Jacob pulled out his pistol in the blink of an eye at near inhuman speed, and he would have fired several bullets into the enraged werewolf if it weren't for the person chasing him. That's when he instead ran down the hall after the two in hot pursuit. "Get out of the way!" He yelled to several of the cops and detectives who were in shock at seeing such a strange creature. Only two or three people moved while the rest were thrown about like rag dolls before the werewolf and guy left the building.
"Dia! Get out of the way!" The detective silently cussed to himself at realizing the werewolf would bowl her over, his heart racing and adrenaline pumping in concern and anger. Then, in a matter of less than two seconds in a near blur-like burst of speed, Jacob tackled the young girl to the side out of the way of the werewolf to prevent it from trying to kill her, if at all.

[15 MINUTES PRIOR]

"Ah jus' don' undastand!" the woman at the receptionist desk as the police department stamped her boot against the tile floor, causing it to echo loudly throughout the corridor. "How can ya say that you'll have ma case updated in th' mornin' and well it's the mornin' now and how come nothin's different!?" The upset Southern bell was a barkeep named Liyana Dixon. Her medium-length blonde hair that was braided and slung over one shoulder. Her skin was sun-kissed and her face, neck, shoulders, and arms were heavily peppered with freckles. She sported an unbuttoned red-and-black plaid short-sleeve shirt with a white tanktop underneath and cut-off jeans that were halfway down her thighs and thick work-like cowboy boots.

The elderly gentleman behind the desk sighed. "Look, Miss Dixon, I know you're angry about your bar being broken into but right now our detectives are--"

"Shh!" Liyana snapped as she turned in the direction of the processing room, her sapphire orbs flickering a to a lycan-like yellow momentarily. "Oh no..." she spun on her heel and took off running. "An' this is one of ma cute outfits!"

[4 hours, 19 minutes, 12 seconds earlier] ----------------------------------------------------------
Jayson sat at his desk, eyes bleary, nodding off as he stared at the blank white page on the laptop screen. I need to write something tonight... He thought, trying to form coherent thoughts. He had gotten home late from work again, restaurants were crazy, he reminded himself. But despite the want to write, sleep was overtaking him. He sighed, closing the laptop, and stumbled off to bed, leaving the page blank yet again...

[37 SECONDS, 02 JIFFIES EARLIER] -----------------------------------------------------------------

Mark walked along the sidewalk, hands stuffed into his jacket pockets, hood pulled up, eyes on the ground in front of him. He was a young man, around 19 years old, a bit of his spiky brown hair sticking out from under his hood. His green eyes didn't move from the ground, and his pace remained steady, somewhat slow as if he wasn't in too much of a hurry. Upon passing the police station, he heard a large commotion, and, as he watched, a huge wolf-like creature burst out the front of the building. Mark stopped dead, looking up, and watched as a man tackled a young girl out of the way of the beast. That's when he caught the slight glint of metal out of the corner of his eye and saw a young man pointing a gun at a guy's face as he stepped out of his car. Mark's mind went wild with everything happening, and instinctively he half-hid behind a telephone pole. But in a few more seconds, as it seemed the wolf-thing was heading for the streets, he steeled his resolve, and ducked, sprinting towards the side of the police station.

"Are we really doing this?"

James blinked at the question, expecting a little more surprise. In his pause he caught the tail end of the werewolf disappearing around the corner of the building, a cavalcade of screams in her wake. "Uuuuhhh- Yes!"
He shoved Josh aside, shooing him into the passenger seat as he climbed in. "Last chance to leave, buddy. I'm taking your car and I'm chasing a werewolf!"
James sat the gun down in the center console as he turned the car back on and put on a seat-belt.

Josh let out a yelp as he was shoved into the passenger seat of his own car, he slide out of the seat and landed shoulders-down into the floor board, legs in the air as his attacker buckled up and sped down the road. Not hearing the other man speak to him, Josh struggled to adjust himself as he called out the man in the driver's seat of his Camero. "Are you seriously trying to kidnap me!?"

Liyana burst from the door of the police station as she saw the older werewolf sprinting down the street on all fours. The woman snarled as her eyes shimmered an amber color. Her clothes fell off her body in ribbons as she transformed into her strawberry-blonde were-form, dropping to all fours and sprinting after the other female.

Mark let out a snarl under his breath as he watched the scene unfold, the second werewolf causing him less surprise. This place was weird alright, he had to admit. But maybe he would fit right in after all. He pulled off his jacket, tying it around his waist, and then closed his eyes for a moment. When he opened them, he could catch a glimpse of two large, fairy-like wings on either side of him. He made a running start and then took off with a powerful stroke of the long, crystal-like wings, his body becoming slightly smaller as he flew parallel to the street after werewolf, glancing to the side as the purple Camero roared along the road. And who would have thought today would turn out like this?

Ooh, cool about Mark!)

Alright, I'll RP the werewolf for now. Then when I'm gone, or am too slow, someone else can take over if they want XD)

Dia found herself on sitting on the ground. The side of her leg hurt from where she'd connected with the cement, but her mind was on the wolf-like beast that towered over her and Jacob. After staring up at the thing in a second of terror, the young girl thought, Nope! Screw it! She grabbed her lunch bag as she jumped to her feet and sprinted down the road, leaving her mother's co-worker to deal with that mess. Hey! Grown-ups were always saying "Leave it to the adults, sweetie" anyway!

Unfortunately, the old werewolf decided to flee the scene in that same exact direction. Knowing her time was short, she lurched forward to snap at Jacob's shoulder. If she managed to grab him, she would throw him back to the concrete staircase of the police department. But if he dodged, she would just charge past him. Regardless of whether her blow met or missed, she was dashing straight towards Dia. She wasn't intending to follow the girl, but seeing as they were both headed for the gap between two buildings on the other side of the street, it just couldn't be helped.

Jacob glanced up towards the werewolf in stoic resolve. His hand smoothly slid the gun out of it's holster in that exact moment Dia had decided to run, not realizing she had done so. "Dia, you need to-" he glanced back towards her with a blank expression.
'...she ran off...' he thought in annoyance when turning back to the werewolf still charging towards him. It was obviously heading towards the alley, which meant he had to somehow slow the werewolf down. In that second of thought, Jacob dashed forward then slid under the werewolf, putting three quick rounds into the creature's right leg, continuing to slide until he was behind it and on one knee with a low growl coming from deep within his throat "Stupid werewolf...coming around here..."

Mark, seeing the werewolf make a dash for the alley way, pulled a quick turn, doing a barrel roll. He darted low to the ground, flitting along next to the wolf, and as Jacob pulled the trigger of his gun, he snapped a kick towards the creature. The combined effect of the kick to the side of its head and three bullets in its leg, which would take any normal being down immediately, only served to stagger the werewolf, knocking its path sideways.

Mark fluttered away gracefully, taking in the rest of the situation. They were now about 50 yards down the road, heading into the alley, with the purple Camero screeching down the road in its chase, and the various people, as well as another werewolf giving chase.

Oh nice! I like it! I thought Liyana was gonna help her, but I like this better! Wacko )

Oh no! Moonpelt! Josh! XD)

Getting shot in the leg hurt and caused the older werewolf to stumble. If she'd been younger, she would have brushed it completely off. But for the next few running steps she limped before seeming to fully recover. Her loss in speed was almost negligible despite her age.
Dia had made it to the ally right before the werewolf. The werewolf leapt right over the teenage girl, having no room or time to swerve/trample right through her as she didn't want to waste time or risk killing yet another younger girl. The werewolf knew she was being pursued by one of her own, and that was the one she was most worried about. One quick scent told her the other of her kind was younger, stronger, and faster. If she wanted to escape, she would have to pull all the tricks she could.
With no plan yet, the old werewolf jumped the chainlink fence at the end of the ally. She landed on the streets of a new block, causing a blue sedan to swerve and hit a parked car on the other side of the road. Wasting no time and ignoring the screaming pedestrians, the werewolf began to run down the center of the street, maneuvering to run alongside moving vehicles as she caught up to them.

Dia squealed as she simultaneously ducked and moved a step backward when the werecreature sailed over her head.
Holy McNuggets, whoa whoa whoa! she thought, freaking out on the inside as she watched the thing dash ahead of her. Not wanting to be heading the same way, she spun around just in time for the second werewolf to butt past her. And what happened next...the teen wasn't sure how it even happened. She remembered screaming, and her fingers getting tangled in strawberry-blonde fur. But the next thing she knew, Dia was clinging to Liyana's side for dear life, terrified of her situation, yet too scared to let go.
"AAAAHHH!!"

On the bright side, at least Dia managed to hold onto her lunch bag!

The purple Camaro spun out onto the road several blocks behind the fleeing creatures and humans, windows down, windshield wipers going at full blast despite the lack of rain, and the headlights flicking on and off as someone inside screamed profanities in a foreign language. James had one hand on the wheel and another blocking his face from an onslaught of slapping from the passenger seat.

"Dude I'm not kidnapping you! There's a freaking-- wait now there's-- THERE'S TWO WEREWOLVES NOW WHAT THE ACTUAL--"

The car horn blared as James' face slammed into the steering wheel from one of Josh's fists.
"IF I CAN'T SEE WE'LL DIE!" He screamed into the classy, beautiful black leather interior.

"Where is all this madness coming from? Just one stupid werewolf, an idiot driver and suddenly another werewolf..." Jacob ran over to his vehicle, flinging the door open then sliding into the seat without strapping his seat-belt on. His tires screeched loudly once he kicked his stick-shift into first gear and sent his car barreling down the road to pass the swerving camaro driving down the road. "Idiots..." he mumbled as he glanced back at them, turning the corner to intercept the werewolf he had shot in the leg earlier. They wouldn't slow down, it seemed, nor would they give up without a fight.

Josh started screaming over the horn that was now blaring thanks to him acquainting James' face to the steering wheel of his car. "WELL MAYBE IF YOU HAVE MENTIONED THE WEREWOLF IN THE FIRST PLACE AND NOT PULLED A GUN ON ME WE COULD HAVE WORKED SOMETHING OUT YOU SACO ESTÚPIDO DE PATATAS!!!!!!!"

The onslaught of punching and angry Spanish insults continued as Josh reached for the parking break to stop the car.

"Ow!" James pulled his head back up in time to crank the wheel to the side, barely avoiding the car careening into a parked bus. Fed up with Josh, James threw the hand he was using to defend himself back in Josh's face and blasted his head with a flash of blue magic, knocking him back into his seat and up against the door.

The blast took Josh by surprise and as he fell backwards he cracked his head on the handle above him, temporarily rendering him disabled and disoriented.

Liyana followed closely behind the swerving car. As another car joined the pursuit, the Were growled to herself, knowing she was going to have some competition on bringing the escaping Were to justice.

did Josh just call James a stupid potato sack? XD)

The older werewolf had just cleared the intersection before Jacob swerved in behind her. The car was not the purple Camaro the telepath had hijacked, so she wasn't as worried about it. But she still recognized that it was chasing after her, so she maneuvered in front of the car in the next lane, jumped into the bed of the truck in front of her, and then leapt ahead of the car in front of Jacob's, causing that driver to slam on his brakes as the werewolf charged ahead.

(Hey Ruki, is Liyana aware that Dia is clinging to her side like an awkward baby koala? I feel like that would be important for her to know XP)

((Oh! I thought she was clinging to Mark this whole time! Let's say for my sake Liyana's adrenaline is too high so she didn't notice Razz))

The she-Were finally acknowledged the young teenage girl at her side, impressed that he had managed to hold on this time. Her yellow eyes studied her. After determining that the teen was not hindering her preformance she allowed the girl to stay on as she picked up the pace to catch up the elder Were that was now dancing around traffic.

Ya, nope! Not Mark! She didn't even see Mark! XD But ya, sounds good, lol!)

Dia's fists were tightly clenched in clumps of fur (one fist holding the lunchbag along with fur) while her legs dangled down Liyana's side. One of her arms were slung over the werewolf's shoulders so that she was partially on her back, which was why her legs weren't dragging across the ground.

Gonnadiegonnadiegonnadie-

Dia thought she was gonna fall off the creature. She could already feel herself breaking an arm, getting scraped across the street, and even getting run over by a car. But then with a really good jolt, probably from a leap or a jump, or whatever the werewolf was doing, the teen's body followed along with the wolf's-lifting in the air so that all that connected her to Liyana were her fists full of fur-and landed right on the werewolf's back. It was like riding a horse, only the horse was a giant wolf and they were riding right along with traffic.

I'MSTILLGONNADIE!! Dia screamed mentally as she clung more securely to Liyana.

The older werewolf looked back to see Liyana was only a few cars behind her, and quickly catching up. She mentally swore, not at all confident that she would be able to beat her in a foot race. She looked ahead and pricked her ears, desperate for anything that would help her out.
Along the road up ahead were orange signs. She picked up the sounds of metal working. She now had a destination.

The older werewolf sprinted between two cars. As soon as she'd pulled ahead of them, she jumped on the hood of the Chrysler in front of her and then leapt to the side. Abandoning the road, leaving her pursuers in the sea of moving cars, she plowed through pedestrians and then ducked into a gap between tall cement barriers. In the center of the large perimeter was a major construction project for a large building, possibly for a skyscraper. The skeleton of the building had been mostly set in place, with clumps of metal support beams still being moved to where they needed to be by cranes. Construction workers were hard at work, some on the ground and some on planks stories above the ground. But chaos ensued when the old werewolf charged in, throwing workers aside as she dashed right in and began climbing up inside the unfinished building, leaping from one support beam to the higher one.

Mark's speeding flying form followed the pursuit of the werewolf through the streets, towards the construction work. He gained both speed and altitude at this point, ignoring the screaming people and several gasps at his flying form. He scrambled to formulate a plan in his mind, but wasn't sure what the older werewolf was planning, which hindered him slightly. He curved his flight path around the outside of the building, looking in as the werewolf lunged upwards ind through the building, causing workers to jump aside and cling for dear life to the structure.

Mark's choice proved to be a good one, as the werewolf seemed to be not heading all the way up the tower, instead, it made a quick way though the adult-sized jungle gym, leaping out the other side onto the roof of a smaller building, and running across it. Mark swung in a wide angle, surveying for the purple camero, having a feeling that he wouldn't be able to do much alone.

Jacob cussed under his breath st the sudden braking of the vehicle ahead of him. He forcibly threw his brake on, drifting the screeching car to the right with the sound of honking notifying him that he was cutting off a few cars before he corrected the vehicle's drifting and drove towards the werewolf again.
"What the-" Jacob slammed on his brakes once he reached the construction yard's entrance. He jumped out of his car and immediately chased after the daring werewolf, deftly jumping onto a nearby ladder, climbing it swiftly and without a sweat. "Come on you dumb fur ball...I don't want to do this." Jacob skipped two or three rings with each climbing motion until he reached two beams ahead of the old werewolf, pulling out his handgun and leveling it towards him and firing.

Liyana had nimbly scaled the unfinished building building with the teenager on her back. She found a sturdy slab of concrete and paused for just a moment and eyed the tag-along again. She shook briefly to free herself of the teen. The Were turned to face Dia and smiled, it was a fearsome looking smile but regardless it was one. A strong front paw roughly stroked the child's head as if telling her to stay before she leapt further up the tower.

Meanwhile...

((I'm sorry Jay... it was so funny I had to post this))

As the Star Wars opening theme now blared through out the streets as the speeding Camaro flew over a hill. Josh had came of his senses and had James' face pressed into his car stereo as he had the other hand on the wheel. "BRAKES. NOW!" the man growled as he pinned James' head with his elbow and made an attempt to reach the parking break.

From the floorboard the Josh's phone started to ring, the House Targaryen theme now awkwardly chiming in with his obnoxiously loud radio. The nervous husband eyed his phone when it decided to auto-pick up.

"Hello? Sweetheart are you there?" Scarlet's voice piped up the phone. "Why is your radio so loud?"

"I-uh-It's work related, helps me focus--¡NI UNA PALABRA HACIA FUERA DE USTED ESTA ES MI ESPOSA!!" Josh snarled at James.

"I swear I need Google translate for you... since you're working I won't keep you too long but I texted you a little shopping list, it's nothing major--"

"Shopping list! Got it!" Josh said in a panicked tone as he started getting some resistance.

Ruki you're awesome! )

Dia let out a little squeak when she hit the cement after getting shaken off. She laid there until she made eye contact with the strawberry blonde werewolf. The teen straightened up on her knees as if she were preparing to bolt, but seeing as she was on a slab high above the ground, she had nowhere to run. And so she knelt there, paralyzed, until the werewolf pat her head.

"???"

Dia, now alone on the slab, was left in confusion, as well as a feeling that she'd just had a bonding moment with the Were. It was strange, but somehow heartwarming?

The old werewolf let out a roaring howl when several of Jacob's shots hit her stomach and her chest. That was why she had jumped to the roof of the smaller building-to get out of the line of fire. As she neared the other side of the rooftop, she skidded and spun around in one movement, now facing the way she came. Her eyes narrowed when she Liyana at the right place to make the jump. Assuming the other would jump, the old werewolf ran back across the rooftop to smack Liyana out of the air, aiming for the moment before Liyana would land. But if Liyana didn't jump by the time granny didn't make it back across, she would wait at the edge of the rooftop and watch for Liyana's next move.

Dia looked towards the gunshots and scrambled to the edge of the concrete slab. As she moved, she happened to glance toward the sky. Upon seeing a man with fairy wings, she paused to question her sanity. The teen closed her eyes and shook her head. She looked towards the place she had seen him, but he wasn't there anymore.
Did I actually just see that?
Okay, not a good question to ask after getting off a giant wolf creature just a moment ago.

Dia reached the edge and looked over to see a familiar detective on a platform somewhat below her, with his back facing her.

"Jacob!" she called with a big wave.

Most of the construction workers had fled the scene, but some of them were still in the tower. One of them had tripped, fallen off a platform, and was hanging for dear life directly over Dia.

"Help!" he called, his grip beginning to fail.

Jacob warily watched the old werewolf with slight disdain, knowing full and well that it had become a nuisance within the hour it had decided to cause mayhem here. Now, it's full attention came to fighting that blond werewolf.
"Huh? Uhh...hi, Dia!! That werewolf dropped you off?" Jacob glanced up at her, menacingly hazel eyes blinking when his vision blurred, making the detective rub his eyes to get rid of the blurriness. "I'll be right up Dia!!" The detective yelled out at seeing the construction worker begin to hang off the side of the metal beam, running down his own beam then jumping onto the ladder and climbing it until reaching  the beam Dia stood on. "Hold on!!" He ran down it, and when reaching Dia he stopped next to her.
"Your mother is going to kill me, Dia. Either that or scold me after all this...I can't decide which one is better." He grumbled with an annoyed look, watching the worker for when he would fall.

Liyana snarled at the older, more experience Were eyeing her from the gap between. She rose to her hind legs in a similar fashion a grizzly bear would, reaching her full height of about 8 feet tall. She let out a roar that echoed through-out the skeletal building as she dropped back down to all floors to make the massive leap over to the older Were.
